India v NZ, 3rd ODI highlights: India beat NZ by seven wickets
India beat New Zealand by seven wickets
The fact that New Zealand managed a competitive total of 285 despite a batting collapse, that saw them lose five wickets for just 27 runs, owed mainly to Jimmy Neesham superlative knock in the 3rd India v New Zealand ODI at Mohali. However, superlative is something that is a common feature to Virat Kohli’s batting and Indian batting superstar was at it again, in chase mind you, compiling his 26th ODI ton to steer India to seven-wicket victory over NZ with ten balls to spare, helping India take 2-1 lead in the five-match series.
New Zealand is a formidable opponent in coloured clothing and it came to fore many a time during the third ODI but when up against a marauding Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, batting at number four, NZ had to surrender despite their valiant effort. The duo combined for a match winning 151-run stand for the third wicket in 27.1 overs to set up the game and Kohli did the honours remaining unbeaten on 154 off 134 balls.
FOUR! Kohli is in hurry now.

New Zealand set India a target of 286
Powered by Jimmy Neesham and Matt Henry's 84-run stand for the ninth wicket, New Zealand managed to overcome a batting collpase in the middle, that saw them lose five wickets for just 27 runs, and posted a competitive 285 runs at Mohali. Tom Latham scored yet another fifty while for India, Kedar Jadhav claimed 3 for 29 and Umesh Yadav managed 3 for 75
NZ 246 for 8 with four overs remaining
Neesham and Henry are showing how good a batting wicket this is and how NZ's middle-order batsmen missed the plot during the middle overs. Still with four overs to go and big-hitter Neesham well set in the middle, NZ would be eyeing a score in the vicinity of 270-280 which should be competitive enough
Henry and Neesham scrapping their way forward, have put on 25 for the ninth wicket. BLACKCAPS 224-8 #indvnz
