Bhubaneswar: Parts of the state may receive rainfall by Thursday under influence of Wednesday's low pressure turned
depression, which is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm, said a forecast by
IMD on Saturday. Director of regional IMD centre
Sarat Chandra Sahu said the department would get a better picture on possible cyclone impact on the state by Monday or Tuesday.

The fishermen were advised to be cautious while venturing into the sea.
On Saturday, the system lay centred about 830 km
South-East of Gopalpur and was moving at a speed of 8 km/hour. It is most likely to intensify into a deep depression during next 24 hours and into a cyclonic storm during the subsequent 24 hours.
The weatherman said, going by the present movement of the system, state may feel its impact during recurve period of the system.
