IGCL closes to a star-studded event

The closing ceremony of Indian Gramin Cricket league (IGCL) was a star-studded affair on Saturday with Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi attending it.Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were present during the opening ceremony.

Gorakhpur: The closing ceremony of Indian Gramin Cricket league (IGCL) was a star-studded affair on Saturday with Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi attending it. Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan were present during the opening ceremony.
Panchayati raj minister Kamal Akhtar and Badaun MP Dharmendra Yadav were also present.
Huma enjoyed the match for more than an hour and said, "I'm excited to see the heavy crowd here in IGCL.
I wish all the players a bright future."
IGCL chairman Anurag Bhadoria, who once faced hardships of life and poverty in a village in the ravines of Chambal, described IGCL as a platform for rural youth to rise. "I'm happy that youth from rural India got a stage to showcase their talent."
Sanjeev Yadav, captain of winning team, Gorakhpur Warriers said, "Youth could make India a super power but they need the right platform and Anuragji has turned us from nobody to be known and recognized." Huma, Kamal and Dharmendra distributed trophies and cheques. Gorakhpur Warrior got the cash prize of Rs 3 lakh. Runners-up team from Mau got a cheque of Rs 2 lakh. The third placed team from Deoria team bagged Rs 1 lakh. The fourth team from Gorakhpur team got Rs 50,000.
Talking to reporters, Akhtar said "The government should not try to disturb sharia law. Actually, when BJP faces the danger of losing elections, it creates issues like 'love jehad', gau hatya (cow slaughter) and Vandematram."
Talking about Samajwadi Party, he said, "The party is united and Akhilesh Yadav would be the chief ministerial candidate in the forthcoming Assembly election."
