Hassan AC invites Deve Gowda to attend Hasanamba festival

MYSURU: Hassan assistant commissioner H L Nagaraj on Saturday visited the residence of Hassan MP and former PM H D Deve Gowda in Bengaluru and invited him for Hasanamba festival being celebrated by the Hassan district administration.
Accepting the invite, Gowda agreed to attend the festival with his family. This comes after Holenarasipura MLA H D Revanna expressed his displeasure against the district administration for failing to invite the MP for the festival.
Revanna, who is upset with DC V Chaitra, recently had the darshan of goddess Hasanamba at the temple.
He stood in a general queue with his followers and other devotees to pray to the goddess. He had also rejected the request of the district administration to enter the temple through the VIP entrance.
Continuing his tirade against Chaitra on Saturday, Revanna said that the DC is neglecting MLAs of the district, "but has become the puppet at the hands of district minister Manju". The DC has failed to take up any development works in the district, because of which funds lie unused, he alleged.
