“It’s cooked up Survey” — Cong. will bag over 80 seats if elections held now: Uttam

Hyderabad: Terming TRS party’s survey as a ‘Silly Survey’, TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy exuded confidence saying that the Congress party will win more than 80 seats if the elections were conducted immediately now.
Speaking to the media at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, Uttam Kumar Reddy described the TRS’ Survey as “Bogus”. The survey figures were cooked up while sitting at home and not meeting the people, he said, adding Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao could have taught lessons if the ‘Gobels’ was alive. “The people are restive and unhappy over the TRS government’s functioning”, he said and questioned as to why the people would cast their vote to KCR when the latter failed to implement his assurances like double bedroom house scheme, loan waiver, three acre land to Dalits and so on. KCR was creating notions among the people while himself was enjoying the same notion.
Quoting one of the survey results that 30 percent of the people were happy with the double bed room scheme, Uttam said the survey was ridiculing the people. The survey was only an effort to hide the TRS government’s failures, he opined. Throwing a challenge at KCR to make the 24 MLAs, who joined his party from other political parties to tender their resignations and contest the elections, Uttam said the survey figures were cooked up while sitting at home.
Stating that the people would teach a fitting lesson to KCR and his family members, Uttam asked KCR to tell as to why he was not releasing funds to Arogya Sree, Fee Reimbursement scheme and so on. The government, which introduced Rs 1.30 lakh crore budget, was not in a position to release funds to the Mid-Day meals scheme and NREGS, he pointed out. The Chief Minister’s performance was very poor, he alleged and said that the State was developed only in liquor sales.
Condemning the survey results, the PCC Chief asserted that most of the leaders in the TRS party were unhappy over KCR rule. He confidently said the Congress would win more than 80 seats. He said he was with the people and he knew the pulse of the people and people were ready to cast their vote to the Congress, he said reacting to a question.
Reacting to a question, Uttam said KCR was trying to deceive the people once again while saying that his government will release arrears of all schemes. The Chief Minister was habituated to give assurances, he stated and asked the Chief Minster whether new Secretariat was need of the hour? The Chief Minister was wasting the public money in the name of vaastu. The Chief Minister was doing all these things with insecurity feeling, he added. (NSS)
