Manhattan media and fashion players including Linda Wells, Glenn O’Brien, Coco Rocha, Zac Posen and Nicole Miller have been mourning the loss of beloved writer Jeffrey Slonim since his passing last week at 56.
Posen tweeted, “He was a gentleman, quick-witted and persistent.” O’Brien added, “gentleman society reporter with heart & soul.” And Wells wrote, “People loved him. Celebrities loved him.”
Survived by wife Fiona, sons Declan and Finbarr, brother Hunt Slonem and sisters Anne and Amy, he got his start at Interview and later worked for People, Allure, Architectural Digest and many more.
A memorial is being planned, and a college fund has been set up for his sons.
