Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray said on Saturday that Goa would have had a Sena Chief Minister if the party had not restricted itself to Maharashtra and helped BJP grow in the state.
“BJP was not established in the state, there was not even a single BJP flag. It was Balasaheb Thackarey who helped them grow here. We thought BJP and MGP are parties with ideology, and hence, Sena would not interfere in Goa,” Uddhav told party workers. “Shiv Sena always thought that it will be restricting itself to Maharashtra, letting BJP spread its wings across the country, even in Delhi,” he said.
“If Shiv Sena prepared for Goa polls then without letting BJP and MGP grow, by now we would have had our chief minister in the state,” he said.
