KARNAL: Reacting to the issuance of notices to Jat leaders for their alleged involvement in the Jat agitation in February, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said today that the government should also issue notices to the officials, including IAS, IPS and other officers, who had been indicted in the Prakash Singh Committee report.

Karnal, October 22

Reacting to the issuance of notices to Jat leaders for their alleged involvement in the Jat agitation in February, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda said today that the government should also issue notices to the officials, including IAS, IPS and other officers, who had been indicted in the Prakash Singh Committee report. After finding their involvement, action should be initiated against them also, he said.

The state government has issued notices to the organisers of the Jat agitation, asking them to give details of their moveable and immovable properties.

Hooda was here at the Karnal grain market to review the procurement process.

He accused the state government of looting the farmers on the pretext of moisture content. He said he had visited the Gharaunda grain market and came to know the farmers were being paid Rs 1,200-1,450 for their paddy, indicating a scam. —TNS
