Chembur man drowns in dam

A Chembur resident, Abhishek Kundan Bhagat (22), drowned in the Tungarli dam at Lonavla on Saturday morning. Bhagat, who worked in Pune, had gone on a picnic with his friends.
The police said that Bhagat and three other youths entered the reservoir for a swim around 9.45am. He soon ran out of breath and drowned. A rescue team brought out Bhagat’s body around 1.45pm.
A case of accidental death has been registered.
