The plot thickens

The issue was taken up by the South Indian Film Writer's Association and now, the association has come up with an official statement.

We had reported about the accusations of plagiarism that were filed by director-cinematographer Antony Thomas against Bogan director Lakshman. Antony accused Lakshman of having stolen his story and having used it for his upcoming film.

The issue was taken up by the South Indian Film Writer’s Association and now, the association has come up with an official statement. It has claimed that initially, it wanted to solve the issue through mutual talks. However, they were shocked to know that both directors have copied from several foreign films to write the story. It further pointed out that the organisation will not be interfering in the issue anymore and is officially dismissing the complaint filed by Antony.

A horror film for Guinness attempt
With horror comedy ruling the roost in Tamil cinema, here is an attempt to reach the Guinness Book of World Records by director MS Selva, who has completed a film, titled Arandavannukku Irundadhellam Pei, in just 10 hours of shooting. A multi-starrer, Suyamvaram, with many filmmakers, has held the Guinness record, for being the only Tamil flick which was shot in 24 hours.

The movie has Dr Saravanan and Anu Krishnan in the lead, with Singam Puli, Kumaresan, Selva, and Crane Manohar in supporting roles. “A lot of planning has gone into it. All the artistes rehearsed well before we started on October 21. We started the shoot at 7 in the morning and completed by 5 pm the same day. I am confident that it will make it to the Guinness Book as well as other records like Limca Records,” says Selva. Believe it or not, they claim that they have also shot three songs in that ten-hour period.
