INS Dega celebrates 25th anniversary in ENC

Visakhapatnam, Oct 22 (UNI) INS Dega, the premier Naval Air Station of the Eastern Naval Command (ENC), was commissioned into the Indian Navy on October 21, 1991.
The Air Station started its journey in 1972, when it operated as INS Circars Flight with Chetak helicopters. INS Dega derives its name from the Telugu word 'dega', which is a big and powerful bird of the Eagle family.
According to an ENC Spokesman here tonight, the team Dega comprises over 2,100 highly committed professionals, who fly, maintain and support their magnificent machines.
