Mahila Congress demands resignation of Law and SC/ST Minister for objectionable comments

Kannur, Oct 22 (UNI) Mahila Congress state president Bindu Krishna today sought resignation from Law and SC/ST Minister A K Balan for his controversial remarks against women.
Ms Krishna said the last day's comments of Minister Mr Balan at Assembly is disparaging to all women especially Adivasis (tribal). She said the law minister had violated the law by 'insulting' Adivasi women. Meanwhile, women MLA's of LDF had taken silent stance against the minister's comment is also condemnable. To a question, over silence of the Opposition MLAs, Ms Krishna said the UDF MLAs also not responded in time at time and they should be came forward against Minister Balan during the legislative assembly session at time.
Mr Balan on answering questions from the opposition in the assembly on death of tribal infants, had said that he could not take the responsibility of the pregnancy of women who had conceived during the time of the UDF government.
