KSFDC to set up more cinema halls within 2 yrs

Kannur, Oct 22 (UNI) Kerala State Film Development Corporation Chairman Lenin Rajendran today said more cinema halls would be constructed across the state with the help of local body governments within two years.
He also said KSFDC will construct own cinema halls in Kannur, Palakkad, Kottayam and Kollam soon. Now these districts have no cinema halls controlled by KSFDC out of 14 districts.
He said all the KSFDC controlled theatres in the state are functioning as profit. The dead line of all the target development works of KSFC will be complete with in two years. The lands would be allotted by the respective Corporation or Muncipality to KSFDC on 30 years lease basis, the Corporation is ready to spent 4.5 crore for constructing cinema halls with 250 seated capacity. The revenue will be also availed as entertainment tax, and also as rent from the KSFDC.
