Highest number of unmanned railway crossing in North sector: DRM

Phagwara, Oct 22 (UNI) As many as 612 unmanned railway crossing are still in Ferozepur Division which is the highest number in the Northern sector.
This was admitted by Divisional Railway Manager Anuj Prakash while talking to the mediapersons at local railway station here today. He said to prevent train accidents, low or limited height subways will be set up at unmanned rail crossings under Ferozepur division.
He said the unmanned crossings will either be manned, removed or Low/Limited Height Subways (LHS) will be set up to prevent accidents, the LHS is being initiated in few sections. He said the work on this project will be completed within three years.
