State president of HAM and former Minister Brishen Patel,addressing a dharna organised by his party to protest forcible removal of slum dwellers from their houses in Patna, in the name of anti-encroachment drive, said state wide agitation would be launched if the government did not rehabilitate them. "The rampant corruption prevailing in Grand Alliance Government in Bihar is a major hurdle in execution of various welfare schemes launched for poor and slum dwellers", Mr Patel said adding that huge fund allocated for the purpose, was being siphoned off due to unholy nexus between officials and leaders of ruling parties in the state.
