Nashik philatelist bags bronze
NASHIK: Ravindra Wamanacharya, city-based philatelist, bagged bronze medal, in the Naturepex 2016 – the National Philatelic Exhibition, held at Bhubaneshwar.
Wamanacharya was judged on his collection titled ‘Call of the Wild’ under the Special Covers and First Day Covers. The competition conducted by Eastern India Philatelist Association witnessed over 150 collectors presenting their collections on the various topics.
The exhibition competition was themed around ‘Think Green’ and covered wide range of topics from water to land and air.
The major categories were the birds, animals, reptiles, insects, aquatic life, plants and animals.
Wamanacharya has the collection of the stamps over the period of two decades and presented over 100 special and first day covers in his presentation. He has travelled lot to nurture his hobby and enrich the collection.
