Entertainment » OtherPosted at: Oct 22 2016 12:55PM Transporters repair highway as BRO fails to repair Manipur highwayImphal, Oct 22 (UNI) After no work done by Border Road Organisation, transporters and drivers have decided take matter in their hand and will repair the Imphal Jiribam highway, NH 37. The highway is not motorable and most portion remained muddy which is not safe for travelers. About 200 trucks with repair materials under the aegis of Transport and Driver Council (TDC) have started repairing Makru area of the road highway today, one of the transporter said. The transporters said the BRO gave one reason or the other for not repairing the highway. Earlier, it said there was no fund but when Manipur government officials went to Delhi it was found that fund was allotted and later BRO said there was no material.
