Distraught mom brings teddy bear in slain boy’s clothes to killer’s sentencing

A heartbroken mother whose 4-year-old was starved and beaten to death clutched a teddy bear in court dressed in the boy’s Christening outfit as she watched his monster baby sitter get sentenced to prison Friday.

Kryzie King, 29, will spend the next 22 years behind bars for beating little Myls Dobson more than two years ago.

“I just want to say I’m sorry to the family of Myls Dobson,” King muttered in Manhattan Supreme Court.

She copped a plea deal last month to second-degree murder and eight other counts.

The boy’s mother, Ashlee Dobson, who had lost custody for abusing him, arrived at court toting a Paddington Bear clad in his tiny outfit.

The boy’s grandmother Faye Bennett read a statement on behalf of Ashlee.

“I always think about him. I can hear his voice saying, ‘I love you mommy,’ ‘don’t cry mommy,’ ” Bennett read. “This pain is like no pain anyone should ever have to suffer.”

In a interview recorded shortly after Myls’ died, King whined about how poorly behaved Myls was and blamed him for making her beat him.

King admitted that she beat Myls with belts and cords, burned him with an oven rack and locked him on a balcony in freezing temperatures.

Prosecutors recently disclosed that she waited at least a full day after Myls took his last breath to call cops on Jan. 8, 2014.

“He was a happy and healthy little boy,” said Assistant District Attorney Nicole Blumberg, adding that the boy loved pizza, dancing, cartoons and playing with fire trucks.

But once Myls was placed into King’s care, his “fate was sealed.”

Blumberg said King “watched [Myls’] body shut down in front of her eyes.”

King, a transgender beautician, had been in a relationship with the boy’s father, Okee Wade. Wade left the child in her care shortly before he got locked up in New Jersey.

After the sentencing, an ambulance was called for Bennett when she became disoriented.

“I tried, I tried really hard,” she said as she held her daughter Ashlee.
