Canon wants to get its foot in the door of 'Nollywood'

TOKYO -- Canon is setting up a unit in Nigeria to boost camera and printer sales in West Africa.

Canon Europe, a unit of the Japanese camera and printer maker tasked with marketing strategy from Europe to the Middle East, on Oct. 7 established Canon Nigeria Imaging Solutions in Lagos. The unit will be Canon's third in Africa; the company also has outposts in South Africa and Kenya.
