GORAKHPUR: Minister of state for communication (independent charge) and railways Manoj Sinha dedicated several projects to people in Basti on Friday.
The minister dedicated WiFi spot services on Bharat Net Optical Fibre at Bheura and Dubaulia villages in Basti.
With the availability of WiFi spots, people of these villages would get facility of high speed internet. It will bridge the gap of digital divide between telecom services of rural and urban areas.
"I hope that internet will be fast and take less time in data processing and downloading. Now the youth of these villages can get information on education, employment and general knowledge with the help of high speed internet," Sinha said.
Sinha also laid the foundation stone of escalator at Basti railway station and also dedicated upgraded passenger amenities there.
