BHOPAL: A 25-year-old medical student was found murdered in Housing Board Colony at Aishbagh on Friday morning. The youth, Waseem Ahmed, who was a fourth year student of government unani medical college, Kolar Road, was found dead with multiple injuries on head and other body parts. There was blood all over floor and walls of the rented accommodation he was living in for last three months.

Waseem lived with his younger brother and police suspect his role in his murder. Certain facts are being verified like details if deceased's uncle Mehraj left for UP in night as younger brother Naseem told police. Statement of Naseem that he did not know when his brother was murdered despite sleeping in same room is hard to believe and unconvincing, police said. Police said Naseem got up in morning, washed clothes, made tea and after that he raised alarm that his brother was murdered.
The building, where they lived in a two room set, had other tenants from whom Naseem asked whether water has come in morning, police said. House owner Asif Aqueel, who runs a shop on ground floor, informed police about the murder when he came to open the shop. Asif resides in Bagh Umrao Dulha.
Waseem's younger brother Naseem, 19, a higher secondary pass-out, who was sleeping in same room, told cops he did not know what happened in night and who murdered his brother. A case has been registered at Aishbagh police station.
Police said Naseem, an addict, was trying to get admission in a unani medical college. It came to light their uncle Mehraj was staying with them for past three days and left for Uttar Pradesh on Thursday night. Police said Naseem left for railway station to drop his uncle in night. He returned and slept.
Waseem's father Ameer Ahmed told police he talked to Waseem in night and he informed him Naseem had gone to drop Mehraj to railway station. Ameer is a hakeem in Raisen district.

Waseem was eldest of four children of Ameer. He has two sisters, one of them married and other stayed with their father in Raisen and two brothers stayed here. Their mother died in 1998. After that Ameer Ahmed shifted his sons to Bhopal. The family hails from Bareilly in UP.
