KARACHI: The ministry of interior, government of Pakistan has suspended the services of FIA Deputy Director Nawazul Haq, one of the six FIA officials who were found involved in the smuggling of 350 Pakistanis from Islamabad Airport to Libya with fake visas on Thursday. In a letter issued on Thursday by the section officer, FIA establishment division, Yawar Hussain Rano has also directed authorities concerned to take action against Nawaz-ul-Haq. “An action in pursuance of Rule5(i) of government servants (Efficiency & Discipline) 1973, must be taken against Nawazul Haq,” the stated. According to FIA sources, around 350 Pakistanis were smuggled to Libya from Islamabad Airport between June and August, 2016 with the help of FIA personnel including FIA Deputy Director Nawazul Haq. Later, FIA launched an investigation and found that he and five other officials were involved in the smuggling case.
