BENGALURU: From vachana recitals to impromtu performances, from poetry to shadow puppetry, Bengaluru's
transit hubs will play host to a festival of stories on Saturday. The Art in Transit is an initiative of Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology. Launched in 2014, the project is a public-art project aiming to create “meaningful artistic interventions and discourse in spaces of transience“, and is being held in collaboration with the
Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation (BMRC).
The events, including art installations, murals, performances, poetry , shadow puppetry , walks, food trails, comics and zines, workshops, storytelling, film screenings and virtual reality experiences, will take place at
Cubbon Park Metro station, Cubbon Park, Bal Bhavan, Venkatappa Art Gallery and Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technology Museum.
