Nikita Pharmaceutical Specialities Pvt Ltd has become the first company from Vidarbha to win the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) award. The award was presented by Union minister of MSME Kalraj Mishra to Ravleen Singh
Khurana, managing director of
Nikita Pharmaceuticals, at ceremony held at
Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana, recently. Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the ceremony as chief guest.
Nikita Pharmaceuticalhas been declared among the top three enterprises in India in 2014 in the manufacturing sector. A cash prize of Rs1.5 lakh, a trophy and certificate were presented. The companies are evaluated based on a set criteria which considers efforts by the management, annual growth rate of turnover and profit, choice of technology, export innovation, quality control, welfare measures, etc
Addressing a press conference, Khurana said, “Our company exports its products to over 90 countries around the world and we are trying to establish trade relations with companies in China as well.” Nikita Pharma also participates in various expos all over the world every year, he said.
“Keeping ‘Make in India’ in mind, the company plans to set up a facility in
Mihan and talks are underway with chief minister Devendra Fadnavis,” said Khurana.
