Charbagh to have VIP lounges, deluxe toilets

Lucknow: By next month, passengers coming to North Eastern Railway junction will get the facilities of air conditioned VIP waiting lounge, waiting rooms, modern toilets and bathrooms.
Divisional railway manager, NER, Alok Kumar Singh said the work is underway and is expected to be completed by month-end.
These amenities are coming up near platform number six. The two AC lounges have attached toilets while there are three non-AC waiting rooms as well.Separate deluxe toilets and bathrooms are also being constructed. Use of the deluxe toilet will be chargeable while others will be free of cost, said officials.
"Passengers have been waiting for such modern amenities," said KS Dixit who had come to board the Shatabdi Express from platform 6.
"Families with kids had a tough time for want of toilets on platforms. So deluxe toilets are more than welcome," said Aabha Rakhi, another passenger. However, not everyone is happy that one would have to pay for using deluxe toilets. "Railway must not charge for use of deluxe toilets as passengers are already paying for their tickets," said Aarohi Rastogi, a passenger who had come to board a train for Barauni.
