One-year-old Firm Lands in Philadelphia Business Journal and PhillyBiz

Wright Commissioning, an MBE / WBE and the Philadelphia region’s only independent building commissioning firm, was named one of the Top Women-owned Companies in the September issue of the Philadelphia Business Journal, one of the Top Minority-owned Businesses in the August issue of the Business Journal and one of the Top Emerging Companies for 2016 in the August issue of PhillyBiz Magazine.

“We’re delighted to be recognized by the Business Journal and PhillyBiz,” said Kim Wright, CEO of Wright Commissioning. “And I hope to soon have an opportunity to celebrate!”

The designations came at a whirlwind time for the 10-person firm with most of the staff on deadline for multiple GSA projects in Texas and Louisiana and the owners welcoming their fourth boy in September. Wright, a Mexican-American Filipina, addressed the subject of Work / Life Balance at the National SMPS Conference in Philadelphia in August, and she will be a featured speaker at Building Design + Construction magazine’s Women in Design + Construction Conference in California in November. She and husband Will Wright founded Wright Commissioning in 2015 and have experienced steady expansion.

“Honestly we all thrive on this pace,” admits Wright. “Hiring highly-skilled staff who are committed to the firm’s success is always a good investment.”
