While reporting on the problems faced by Pakistani citizens at the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) in Nazimabad, a woman journalist was slapped by a paramilitary policeman serving with the Frontier Constabulary (FC).

The footage shows the journalist repeatedly telling the policeman to leave the cameraperson alone and not touch the camera. This soon results in an altercation and he proceeds to slap the journalist. Following this, the camera falls to the ground and some gunshots can be heard. The video has since gone viral.

The Financial Express reported that the policeman has been charged with aerial firing and assaulting the modesty of a woman.

The journalist was identified as the Pakistani TV channel K-21's Saima Kanwal. After the incident, she posted a video of the bullet shells from the aerial firing.

A FIR has also been registered against the TV channel for causing "hindrance in official work" by NADRA.
