Just two days ahead of Lebo Mathosa's death anniversary, Universal Music has dropped an album to not only remember the late iconic singer's life, but to also celebrate some of her greatest hits.

Titled Lebo Remembered, the 15-track compilation album includes hits such as Benga, Free, Brand New Day and Dangerous.

Speaking to Sowetan LIVE, music compiler Matwetwe Ntombini revealed that they were able to put this offering, which comes as a CD and a DVD of music videos and five live performances together, with help from the SABC library.

"I would like the listener to walk away with the experience of what it was like to encounter Lebo. She was a dancer, singer and entertainer par excellence, and she was a very sweet child," he told the local publication.

As Sunday marks exactly 10 years since she passed on, a number of fans across the country took to Twitter on Friday to remember the life and legacy of the late superstar, who died in a car crash near the Heidelberg off-ramp in Germiston, on the East Rand.

A constant theme for fans has been that Lebo will remain forever in the hearts of those who admired her.
