Crying, her hands over her mouth and looking helplessly on, this is the moment a desperate mother considered the unthinkable.

Bethany Hoover's three-year-old son Brayden Geis had stopped breathing and dash cam footage captured police officer Chase Miller arrive at the scene and begin administering CPR.

Twenty-one-year-old Bethany can be seen handing the unresponsive, limp boy over to the policeman as his father, John Geis, also 21, watches on from the car park of a KFC in Granbury, Texas.

Miller worked on the boy for several minutes, calling his father over to help before, incredibly, he managed to revive the youngster.

In a statement released by police they said: "The child is now doing fine and is recovering with his family.

"Officer Miller's exceptional performance reflect great credit upon himself, the Granbury Police Department and the city of Granbury."
