MUMBAI: The Yuva Sena chief Aaditya Thackeray today took a dig at alliance partner in the BMC --BJP currently who has been leveling allegations of mafia raj against the Shiv Sena. In a tweet put out on Friday morning Thackeray said, "Mumbai mein mafia, Nagpur mein Maaf-kiya.. Contractors blacklisted by BMC get road contracts in Nagpur."
It may be recollected that the BMC in April this year lodged FIRs against contractors involved in the Rs.
352 crore road scam namely M/S Relcon, M/S R.K. Madhani, M/S Mahavir road infrastructure Pvt. Ltd, M/S J. Kumar, M/S RPS and M/S K.R construction. Recently it came to light that these contractors have bagged contracts awarded by the Nagpur Municipal Corporation which is ruled by the BJP.
Just a day ago the Sena corporator and Mumbai Mayor Snehal Ambekar in a desperate move to get rid of the scandal charges leveled by BJP on its party shifted the burden of responsibility on the civic chief Ajoy Mehta demanding that he bring before the Mumbaikars the truth behind the same.
In a letter send by the Mumbai mayor Snehal Ambekar to civic chief Ajoy Mehta on Thursday she has said, “Presently in Maharashtra a lot of discussion is taking place about goons and politics and recently the chief minister’s photograph with a goon had caused a flutter. After coming as an administrative head in BMC which has over 125 year old history for the first time mafia raj and dalalraj kind of serious allegations some people have been making. So kindly bring the truth before Mumbaikars over the issue.”
