KMG, Nimbus advance into pre-quarterfinals

Nimbus beat Jyoti Bikash Bank (JBB) by six wickets to enter the next round as Group ‘C’ winners. Kantipur joined them as the runners-up from the pool after defeating JBB by 16 runs. Against Nimbus, JBB scored just 42-4 in five overs. Nimbus replied with 46 runs with losing a single wicket in 3.4 overs. KMG scored 75-3 with Shishir Pachhai top scoring for them with 11-ball 20. JBB, in reply, could only muster 59-3.
Machhapuchhre Bank beat Nabil Bank by six wickets to join Group ‘A’ winner Prabhu Bank in the next round. Machhapuchhre overcame the 73-run target without losing any wicket in 4.4 overs. Sunit Shrestha scored unbeaten 35 off 11 balls and Dipesh hit 12-ball 22.
Century Bank advanced to the next round after seeing off NMB bank by 22 runs in Group ‘B’. Century amassed 98-1 in five overs thanks to unbeaten 35 runs from Suraj Timalsina and 22 not out from Diwesh Dangol. NMB replied with 76-1. Century are assured of top spot after also defeating ICFC Finance by five wickets.
ICFC scored 78-1 and Century replied with 79-1 in just 3.3 overs. Suraj Timsina was even more devastating as he slammed unbeaten 32 off just nine balls. Subash Sharma hit 21 unbeaten runs from six balls. ICFC also lost to NIC Asia Bank.
Nepal SBI Bank advanced after recording their second straight win in Group ‘F’. SBI defeated Civil Bank by 11 runs. SBI scored 67-2 and restricted Civil Bank for 56-2. Civil Bank and Subisu will fight it out for runners-up spot from the pool.
In Group ‘D’ match, Kumari Bank pulled off a four-wicket win over NCC Bank. NCC put on a lowly 35-4 and Kumari Bank chased down the total for the loss of two wickets in 2.4 overs. Nepal Telecom beat Ruslan Cricket by 57 runs in a Group ‘E’ match. Nepal Telecom scored 118-2 with Bikash Yadav scoring an unbeaten 32 off 12 deliveries. Ruslan scored 61-1 reply.
