ITANAGAR: The People's Party of Arunachal (
PPA) has branded
Congress as the mother of defection politics.
Reacting to a media report where former chief minister Nabam
Tuki made a statement against PPA on the merger issue, PPA president
Kahfa Bengia said the Congress government, led by Tuki, had diminished PPA's strength of legislators in the assembly by using all sorts of 'unethical' means.
"PPA legislators were forced to merge with Congress, which never allowed other smaller parties like NCP, TMC and PPA to exist with their ideologies and manifestos," he added.
Congress has no moral and legal right to talk about the validity of merger of its own legislators with PPA, added Bengia. tnn
