Wesley College wins Zahira Super 16 Soccer 7’s football crown

Wesley College Colombo beat Zahira College Colombo in a nail-biting final which went all the way down to a penalty shootout, after fulltime ended goalless, to become champions of the 12th edition of the Zahira Super 16 Soccer 7’s football tournament, held on 8 October at the Zahira College grounds.

Football Federation of Sri Lanka Secretary Anthony Balendran graced the opening ceremony as Chief Guest and main sponsor Cargills Ceylon Plc’s Dairy Sector Head of Sales Mohantha Karunaratne was the Chief Guest at the evening session. Zahira College Principal Trizviiy Marikar, Board of Governors Chairman Fouzul Hameed and many distinguished invitees attended the final session.
