HOLYOKE, Mass. (WWLP) – Maryjane Mejias’ home in the Holyoke Highlands is known for its elaborate Halloween displays. It has been her passion for the past 15 years, but during the night, someone stole the new centerpiece: a green witch that lit up the night.
“Well, I was crushed this morning. I never- how could someone do this? Another look at my video footage and someone took- why would someone take my witch?” Mejias said.
“I am pretty upset, and a lot of the neighbors are, too. This is the home that all the kids come to in the neighborhood.”
Neighbor Matthew Torres intends to treat his young child to MaryJean Mejais’ scary display Halloween night. Torres appreciates what she does for neighborhood kids.
“They come here, they pull their stuff together for the little ones. Somebody just came by and stole it,” Torres said.
From Maryjane Mejais to the man who stole her Halloween display centerpiece: please return the witch, so that neighborhood children can fully enjoy Halloween night.
