Report on 7th pay panel submitted

CHANDIGARH: Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu and Chief Secretary DS Dhesi today presented to CM Manohar Lal Khattar the report of the committee constituted to examine the Seventh Central Pay Commission and devise modalities for its implementation.



CHANDIGARH, October 20

Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu and Chief Secretary DS Dhesi today presented to CM Manohar Lal Khattar the report of the committee constituted to examine the Seventh Central Pay Commission and devise modalities for its implementation.

The committee headed by Dhesi deliberated on various issues relevant to pay revision and also heard and examined more than 200 representations from various employees’ associations, unions, groups and individuals. The committee recommendations would now be examined by the state government and appropriate orders issued in due course on the the revised pay structure for its employees with effect from January 1. —TNS
