Bobby on her latest film 'Oneway'
Why should the audience watch "Oneway"?
The movie has a unique story which I think will be quiet intriguing for the audience. Also, I believe that I have portrayed a very different role from the ones I usually do. My fans will get to see a completely new side of me.
Explain to us, how much of a different role are you portraying?
I will be seen playing multiple personalities throughout the film, which is why I am sure the audience will be quite surprised. I have been presented in the most intriguing way in this film.
Under which genre would the film fall?
The movie is an assortment of action, thriller and drama. For this reason, I believe the movie will appeal to various types of audiences.
He is one of the few directors in Bangladesh who can truly make mind-blowing films. His films "Agnee", "Action Jasmine" and "Dehorokkhi" are testimony of his brilliance. These films have also performed very well commercially. I have faith in him that "Oneway" will be an equally good film or will surpass his previous endeavours. I believe the audience will not be disappointed in any way.
We heard that you are producing your first film titled "Bijli". Tell us about its progress.
We have completed 80% of the film and now the rest is to be completed in a foreign location. So far, we have shot in various spots that include Bangkok, Kolkata, and many different places in Bangladesh. Thanks to the big budget of the film, we could shoot in locations that were beautiful, which I think will reflect in the film perfectly. The film is first-of-its-kind and is my dream project.
Who are the other actors in "Oneway"?
My co-actors in the film are Anisur Rahman Milon and Bappy. This will be my third movie with both the actors. Milon is an exceptional actor and Bappy is no less. I believe with such good cast, the movie will be loved by everyone.
The film industry in Bangladesh is going through some rough time. How do you think "Oneway" would impact the industry?
In order to improve our situation, everyone belonging to the industry must work together in unison. I think we need to make different kinds of film in order to cater to different audiences, rather than making similar types of film. I think "Oneway" is a very different film that will attract the audience to go to the theatres, increasing turnover, which I think is something the industry is in dire need of.
