Cara Delevingne documentary slated for release

LONDON, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Revolver Entertainment has acquired a Cara Delevingne documentary.

The Cara Project will explore the 24-year-old English star's transition from model to actress, according to Variety.

Revolver will shop the film at Mipcom, which ends Thursday, and American Film Market in November. The company intends to release the movie on DVD and VOD in the United States and Canada in the next few months.

Delevingne modeled for such brands as Chanel and Burberry before turning her focus to acting. She made her film debut in the 2012 movie Anna Karenina and has since starred in Paper Towns, Pan and Suicide Squad.

"I ended up feeling a bit empty," the star said of modeling in an interview with the Wall Street Journal in 2015. "Fashion is about what's on the outside, and that's it. There's no searching, it's just creating pretty things."

"I don't want to be that cliché -- model-slash-actress," she added. "I basically gave up on acting, because trying to get an agent was impossible. Everyone said, 'You're just a model.'"

Delevingne will next star in London Fields with Jaimie Alexander and Amber Heard. She is also slated for Tulip Fever with Alicia Vikander and Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets with Dane DeHaan.
