Harlee Dean set for Brentford return

Brentford can welcome back Harlee Dean from suspension for the visit of Barnsley.

But boss Dean Smith says he could stick with the back four which kept a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw at Derby in midweek.

Midfielder Alan McCormack is struggling with a groin problem and striker Lasse Vibe is out with an ankle injury, although he could be back to face QPR next Friday.

Callum Elder is still out with a knee problem, Rico Henry remains sidelined by a shoulder injury and Alan Judge is recovering from a broken leg.

Barnsley's on-loan striker Adam Armstrong will return to contention after missing the midweek defeat against parent club Newcastle.

Josh Scowen sits out the second game of his three-match ban but fellow midfielder Conor Hourihane overcame a calf strain to play the full 90 minutes on Tuesday night and is set to continue.

Defender Adam Jackson made his first appearance for the Reds against Newcastle and head coach Paul Heckingbottom must decide whether to stick with him or recall Angus MacDonald.

Winger Ryan Williams returned to the bench in midweek after a long-term groin injury but Aidy White (gluteal muscle) and Saidy Janko (thigh) are still out.
