18-month-old grandson Devansh richer than Andhra Pradesh CM Chandrababu Naidu

GUNTUR: Little Devansh has more assets than his grandfather, chief minister of Andhra Pradesh Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Eighteen-month-old Devansh's total assets stand at Rs 11.57 crore, while Naidu's total assets do not swell beyond Rs 3.73 crore, including an old Ambassador car.
This was revealed by none other than Devansh's father and Nara scion Lokesh here on Wednesday .While an asset worth Rs 9.17 crore was transferred to Devansh by his grandmother Bhuvaneswari, maternal grandfather and film actor Balakrishna gifted a fixed deposit of Rs 2.4 crore to him.
Speaking to reporters at the state party office while coming out with an elaborate list of family's assets and liabilities, Lokesh criticised the opposition parties for launching a vitriolic campaign against the first family of the state on acquisition of properties.
According to Lokesh, his father's assets dipped slightly due to liabilities accumulated in the banks. Naidu owns a house in Jubilee hills worth Rs 3.68 crore but he secured a loan of Rs 3.06 crore from Bank of Baroda leaving his net worth at Rs 67 lakh. However, Naidu's net worth seemed to have jumped a little by Rs 25 lakh as his last year's declaration showed that he owned assets worth Rs 42 lakh post debt.
This is the sixth year in a row that properties and liabilities of Nara family members were made open.Lokesh categorically said that none of his family members has accounts in foreign banks. He went on to claim that Nara is the only political family in the country that regularly keeps information on the assets and liabilities in the public domain. “We do not have any benami accounts or firms. We are content with what we have,“ said Lokesh and wondered why no one comes forward to prove the allegations if they have concrete information on their hidden assets. “It shows that they have nothing with them except throwing mud at us,“ he thundered. Lokesh owns total assets worth Rs 14.50 crore and liabilities to a tune of Rs 6.35 crore. This leaves Lokesh's net worth at Rs 8.15 crore.His wife Bramhani owns assets, including land and jewellery , worth Rs 5.38 crore.
Naidu's wife Bhuvaneswari, who manages the listed company Heritage Foods Ltd, has assets worth nearly Rs 38.66 crore. Since she has liabilities to the tune of Rs 13 crore, her net worth stands at Rs 24.84 crore. Lokesh said that a decision with regard to selling the stake in Heritage Foods would be taken on October 28. Family's investment arm Nirvana Holdings has assets worth Rs 27.81 crore and liabilities of Rs 26.44 crore. Interestingly , Naidu continues to keep his old Ambassador car worth Rs 1.52 lakh as his Heritage property , while his wife depends on a 2008 model Audi car worth Rs 91 lakh. The Ambassador registered in the name of Naidu is a 1993 model.
