The company has also said the remapping will make no change to the peak power and torque figures. The automaker will be also fixing an issue with the rear leaf spring of the vehicle.
The fix is free of cost and is available at Isuzu's service outlets around the country. The customers who had the ECU remapped no longer have that blip or jerk in the lower rpm. They have also said that the driveability of the D-Max has improved.
The Japanese manufacturer launched the D-Max V-Cross in May at Rs 12.49 lakh (ex-showroom Chennai) in India. Powering the vehicle is a 2.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine churning out 134bhp of power and 370Nm of torque.
The power unit is mated to a five-speed manual transmission with a shift on the fly, four-wheel drive system. The vehicle also has a high-ride suspension, which offers higher ground clearance.
The D-Max V-Cross is produced in Isuzu's newly opened manufacturing facility in Sri City, Andhra Pradesh. The vehicle is based on the Isuzu Gravity Response Intelligent Platform (iGrip) technology.
