Konkan Railway releases coffee table book on 25 years of its journey

MUMBAI: The Konkan Railway has brought out a coffee table book, highlighting 25 years of its journey. The book is aptly titled "Konkan Railway - Eventful 25 years."
As the name suggests, it contains chapters titled : Saga Extraordinaire, covering the historical aspect and the construction phase ; The Mesmerizing Journey, highlighting the picturesque locations of the Konkan region ; Battling the Odds, highlights the difficult terrain; Daily Grind, lists the day to day affairs of the railway to maintain the route; Financial Turn-Around, emphasis the financial success story of Konkan Railway; Spirit of Innovation, reflects that innovation is a way of life the Konkan Railway; Aiming High, projects the infrastructure works undertaken.
There is also a chapter on "Bollywood Connection" which showcases the motion pictures shoots taken on the route, an official said. "All the chapters are vividly represented through photographs," he stated.
