A trek to Chandrataal is one of the ideal ways to view its beauty. This scenic alpine lake is situated deep in the Himalayan Range. Most agencies offer fabulously well-planned treks, which begins from the town of Manali. The itinerary will reveal a pleasant hike to the Valley of Chika from Manali, crossing the villages of Pirni, Hampta and Sethan on the way. Onward journey includes a walk towards the Valley of
Jwara to reach Bhalu ka Gera. A relatively tough ascent awaits you on the way to Hampta Pass. Later come down to the Shea Goru to camp at
night. Upon restarting the trek to Chandratal Lake at dawn, hike towards Chota Dara and cross Chatru en route. In the morning, walk along the sparkling Chandra River to reach a point from where the Bara Shigri Glacier is visible. Later, reach Batal. Many visitors like to take up
the second half of Chandratal Lake trekking excursion by camping near it and the pristine journey continues.
