HYDERABAD: The Telangana State Wakf Board has employed 17 retired persons since 2014, of which at least three are over the age of 70.
An RTI filed recently revealed that the three employees Syed Osman, 76, Saheb Khan, 73, and M A Fateh Khan, 72, were hired between February 2014 and February 2016 respectively.
Former Telangana State Wakf Board member and current member of legislative council Syed Altaf Hyder Razvi, however, pointed out the need for infusing fresh blood into the board, "The educated Muslim youth needs jobs.
Why not hire them instead. The department heads should answer this. This is a violation of a government order issued by the finance department."
