JAIPUR: In order to decongest the Jaipur railway station especially the Parshuram circle area which is the main entry point for travellers coming to Jaipur Junction, the Jaipur division of north western railways (NWR) is all set to get a facelift. By December, Jaipur railway station is going to get its third entry point from Parivahan Marg side to ease the congestion.
Anjali Goyal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Jaipur addressing a press conference on Wednesday, said, "We aim to make things better at the Jaipur railway station.
The infrastructural work for the third entry has already started and we are trying to get it completed and dedicating it to the passengers by December."
"Presently we have entry and exit to the railway station from Hasanpura side and Parshuram circle. So in order to give a smooth traffic and de-congest the exterior areas of Jaipur junction we are coming up with the third entry which is much closed to the Jaipur metro station," she added.
Jaipur railway station is also going to have one more waiting room and a retiring room on the ground floor.
"There is going to be a separate waiting room for the sleeper class passengers and for passengers travelling in air-conditioned category. Likewise, we will have a retiring room on the ground floor which will facilitate the physically challenged passengers and senior citizens," she added.
