Rajinder Bardi of the Congress and Haji Mohamed Islam of the BSP today joined the BJP along with their supporters accusing their parties of ignoring them.
Rajinder Bardi had left the Samajvadi Party to join the Congress under Harish Rawat. He hails from Roorkee. Haji Mohammed Islam hails from Piryan Kaliyar and has a considerable political influence in Haridwar and Roorkee.
Both leaders came to the BJP office with their supporters and criticised the Congress for lack of development in the state.
Meanwhile, former Chief Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, who was recently honoured by the Uganda Government for promoting human values through his literature, was also felicitated by the party.
