Ramajayam case: CB-CID gets 3 months

Madurai: The Madurai bench of the Madras high court has granted the CB-CID three months to complete the probe into the murder of KN Ramajayam, brother of former Tamil Nadu transport minister KN Nehru of DMK and adjourned the case to January 18, next year. The court said that it was the last chance for the CB-CID to finish its task. Otherwise, the case would be transferred to the CBI.
Latha Ramajayam, the widow of the deceased, had filed a petition in December 2014, seeking a CBI probe into her husband's murder.
On Wednesday, the court asked the CB-CID whether it adopted scientific advancements in completing the probe, for which the CB-CID responded in the affirmative. However, they needed four more months to complete the probe. The court granted them three months and adjourned the case to January 18.
