Sunder Shiksha Charitable Trust, Chamba, today rewarded students of government schools who topped the Class 10 examination of the Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education, at its 8th prize distribution function. On behalf of the trust, Chamba Deputy Commissioner Sudesh Mokhta distributed the prizes.
In the function, the students who had obtained the first, second and third positions in the seven sub-divisions of Chamba district were given Sunder Vidyarthi Puruskar. In addition, the students who obtained the first position in English, Mathematics, Science and Sanskrit were given Batu Puruskars.
In all, the trust distributed Rs 1,03,400 as prize money. Sanjay Kumar of Government High School, Brehi, received four prizes and the total prize money of Rs 9,600. As many as 45 prizes, including 23 Sunder Shiksha Puruskars, eight Batu Puruskars and 14 Protsahan Puruskars were distributed by the trust.
Trust chairperson Dev Swarup and trustee Asha Swarup were among those present in the function.
