Gujarat to launch 'Seva Setu' & 'Pragati Setu' to resolve issues on the spot

GANDHINAGAR: Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani has taken decision to resolve citizen’s issues at their village level rather than visiting to taluka or district offices with a view to fulfill four pillars of the state government such as transparency, sensibility, decisiveness and progressiveness.
As per the decision made by the CM, the state government has organized two new initiatives for pro-people governance; namely as ‘Seva Setu’ for scheme benefits to a person and 'Pragati Setu’ for approaching collectively by a group of people to the government.

Briefing about the decisions made by the state government, minister of state for health Shankar Chaudhary said that, the state government has implemented intensive system to resolve the issues of common people at the district and taluka offices working under various departments of state government.
Chaudhary said that as a part of 'Seva Setu' minimum 2 camps will be organized under headship of Prant Officer of the taluka on monthly basis for people of surrounding 8-10 villages. Through a committee in which as many as 13 officers will take part and will provide on the spot services such as income certificate, caste certificate, aadhar card, ration card, creamy-layer certificate, widow assistance, land survey, to make new entry, Ma Amrutam card and Ma Vatsalya card etc to the people.
Similarly, through 'Pragati Setu' by organizing a camp under chairmanship of District Collector at taluka level in presence of different officials of various departments; issues such as implementation of a scheme and issues of integration to be raised collectively by the local people will be resolved.
