Girl alleges family tried to kill her, lover arrested

AGRA: A 25-years-old girl alleged that her parent tried to kill her and her boyfriend Ankit Yadav (22), when she was caught talking to him friend on Wednesday. The girl alleged that they were beaten by the family members and according to her the family members tried to burn them by pouring kerosene oil.
As per the girl, who lives in the Sitanagar locality of the Rambagh told TOI, that she was allegedly beaten by her father, brother and mother, when they knew about her love affair with the boy named as Ankit Yadav.
The girl further alleged, “I was talking on phone to my boyfriend Ankit Yadav, who runs shop of watches near my house. When my mother knew about it, today she informed father and other members. I was beaten up and when my boyfriend came he was also beaten up by the family members. My family members tried to burn both of us by pouring kerosene. But anyhow we managed to save ourselves and reached police station.”
However, the girl had also claimed that they both had married around three months back and want to live with the boy Ankit.
Echoing with her, the boyfriend, Ankit Yadav (22) claimed, “I usually talk to the girl and have been in love affair for the past 1.5 years.” He alleged, “The family members of the girl tried to burn me and my girlfriend at their house. But we managed to reach to the police station. We both want to marry.”
However, girl’s mother Sarvesh claimed that they were not aware about the love affair and also denied the allegations of her daughter that they tried to burn them. The mother claimed, “On Wednesday, we spotted her daughter while talking to the boy Ankit on phone and after that her daughter called the boy Ankit at the home.”
SHO Itmad ud daula Police Station, Raghuraj Singh said that the girl had been sent for the medical examination and on the basis of the NCR filed by the father of the girl, Rajesh Kashyap that the accused boy has been arrested. As per SHO, in the NCR, the father had mentioned that the accused boy Ankit Yadav, arrived at their house and fled away with the daughter and also took cash.
Circle officer (CO) Chhatta , BS Tyagi informed that the case has been registered in this regard from the father side of the girl and the further probe is on.
