TN animal husbandry, HR&CE, information ministers hold review meetings

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu minister for animal husbandry P Balakrishna Reddy, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) minister Sevvoor S Ramachandran, and minister for Information and Publicity Kadambur Raju held review meetings with their respective department officials on Wednesday.
According to separate government releases, the ministers discussed implementation of various ongoing and new schemes, measures to improve facilities for people, status of construction work of new buildings, among other issues, with the officials.
The HR&CE minister discussed methods to implement revised pension and temple maintenance schemes with the officials. Chief minister J Jayalalithaa recently announced increase in pension for retired temple staff from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 a month, a move that would benefit about 3,700 pensioners, the release said. They also discussed ways to improve facilities and security measures during annual temple festivals, the release added.
Officials of the information and publicity department discussed various measures to inform people across the state about government schemes and construction of memorials in different parts of the state, the release said.
